Ray Rawlings watercolour artist
Born the son of a railwayman, with older brothers who were interested in all things steam, Ray inherited the reference material for his themed paintings. Living as they did close to the Great Western Railway line at Slough it's easy to understand why, as a boy, he spent many hours trespassing on the banks of the bridge watching the speeding express trains out of Paddington. In later life, having to commute each day into Waterloo only intensified his interest.
